Top Dressing Canola Crops: Using 28-0-0 Fertilizer

Neighbour asked me to top dress his canola with some 28-0-0. Has anyone done this? What’s a fair rate? Streamer nozzles going to mix half water and half Nitrogen and do 45 acres a tank. 26 gallons an acre

We have done lots of top dressing. Do you know much N he put down up front? At 26 gallons you will be applying 78lbs of actual N for him. I've seen up to 60lbs applied with no issues. Depending on moisture and if you are in for heat in the next few days I think it might be too aggressive. Just my opinion
