Have you ever posted something that has come back to bite you?
This in defence of my July crop report based on nearly 40 hours of driving through AB, SK to the MB border.

Underpromise and overdeliver! I would question anyone who claims they accurately predicted yields this year, especially in canola. We were quite astonished by the effect of the July weather.
Yes. Same happens to me. My advice is to make report under estimation harvest forecast for example because farmers are taking your words like the Bible and now the conditions change very quickly climate and economic also
I think in our area up here in North Central SK, it looks like things are going backwards, but we aren’t losing ground very quickly. I would say we are at yield targets for sure.
Most people need to get out into their fields with a soil probe and their agronomists and start doing some pod and seed counts and they might be surprised at how the crop is coming through the heat.
