Fall vs. Spring Wheat Seed Treatment: Maximizing Efficiency

New England, ND|Apr 24, 2024

Does anyone know if someone could treat their wheat seed in the fall? I'm looking to have more time in the spring for a good burn down before I get seeding. One easy way to do that would be getting most of my treating done in the fall when grain is still warm and I have more time. It would likely be a combination product like Terraxa or Intego Suite. I just want make sure the efficacy would be equal or nearly equal to something done in the spring a week before planting. Thanks.

Yes you will be fine since there is no living organisms you're putting on the seed. It's only chemistry. We have stored seed like that for 2 years before planting it and it's worked great.

We usually treat our Durum wheat seed in fall and we have never had a problem with product efficacy
