We are looking at upgrading combines this winter. Currently run a s680 John Deere with a macdon fd140. Looking at going to a x9 John Deere and can’t decide to go with macdon fd250 or a John Deere hd50r? I demoed an hd50r on an x9 and liked the header except the sickle drive kept sliding down by the wobble box and getting hot on ends. Is this a problem on these headers or was it just the one I had. What’s everyone’s recommendation on going with the macdon or the John Deere?
