Good question. Soil biology and microbes play a huge role in soil health and are one of the primary metrics for soil health measurements. Biological products can definitely help because they “seed” new microbes or “feed” existing microbes. Still, adding biological products won’t necessarily make your soils healthy even if done every year. Maintaining soil cover, keeping living roots in your soil and reducing tillage have greater impact on soil health than biological products.

Huge when you consider all the communication that happens between the roots and the beneficial microbes in the soil. Anything you can do that will boost the populations of these beneficials will no doubt positively impact vigor and quality of that crop.
